I am an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who works at St George Public and Private Hospitals.

I was born and raised in Dubbo, NSW before making the move to Sydney to study Medicine at the University of New South Wales. I graduated in 2006 with first class honours and began working as an Intern and Resident at St George Hospital. I progressed onto the RANZCOG Obstetrics and Gynaecology training program which had me undertake various rotations away from my ‘home’ hospital over the 6 years of the program. Darwin was a particular highlight for its interesting medicine and the proximity to incredible landscape. Another highlight was Lismore where I met my now husband working in the emergency department! In the final stages of my training I was fortunate enough to undertake a fellowship year in advanced gynaecological surgery working with eminent Gynaecological Oncology and Laparoscopic surgeons at St George Hospital.

In addition…

… to my position as a Staff Specialist at St George Hospital I am also a RANZCOG Training Supervisor for our Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees and a Conjoint Lecturer and Examiner for the University of New South Wales medical students. These appointments give me an opportunity to service the local community and be heavily involved in the teaching of our future doctors at a medical student, junior doctor and specialty trainee level. I have been very fortunate to have been mentored by some wonderful senior doctors over the years and I feel passionate about passing on the knowledge and skills that they have imparted.

I consider myself to have a relaxed and friendly nature that makes me approachable and easy to talk to. I’ll take the time to listen and answer all your questions thoroughly.

When I’m not at work I am a wife and a mother to three beautiful rambunctious boys. I like to keep fit whenever I can make time and then undo all that good work by indulging in good food and wine!
